Best Birthday Party Venue in Colorado

If you’re a Mom, you’re bound to be in a Facebook Mom group, or twelve. If so, you’re sure to come across the daily post, “Where is the best birthday spot for a *insert age* year old?” and a slew of answers will come.. In Colorado, being such a family-focused state, we are blessed with a wide variety of birthday party venues. This being said, one of the top places recommended will surely be Little Monkey Bizness Westminster.

Not only does it have everything an older kid could want: Bouncy houses, snacks, an art room, mega slides, but also imaginary play areas for younger kids like: Veterinarian stations, safari outpost station, postman station, climbing structures, flashing light games, and more!

When booking a birthday party for your little it can be stressful worrying about the differences in ages, siblings of friends, and babies that may accompany adults (Did I mention they have a baby area?! Yeah..). But Little Monkey Bizness Westminster literally takes the stress out of everything for you, all you have to do is book your party and let them take the wheel.. 🎶

With different tiers to fit your budget, they have exactly what you’re looking for in a party. Need a weekday? They’ve got you. Want it private? Covered. Want it private AND on the weekend? OH snap, already done.

It’s literally the best of both worlds. Easy for parents. Pure-energy-burning-fun for kids. So, next time you’re planning a birthday party in Colorado for your kiddo, DEFINITELY book it with Little Monkey Bizness Westminster. This month we are having our second and third birthday party here and have had other friends do there’s here because they loved it so much, too! Highly recommend (did I mention they have a coffee shop inside, too?! Yeah.) and you can have pizzas delivered to the party. Just sayin’. 🐒

Pact Dream Big Pajamas

I’m all about eco-friendly, water-saving, fair trade certified companies – And one of my favorite clothing lines now is Pact, because they’re ALL of those things. Their products are made of organic cotton—to support a healthy planet—and manufactured by a Fair Trade certified factory—to take care of the people on this planet. I bought matching pairs of them Dream Big Pajamas for the boys and it’s their favorite things to snuggle up and sleep in. They’re insanely soft, their prints are adorable, (or cool if you ask them about their shark jammies) and I feel better purchasing them clothing that is better for our Mother Earth (and still affordable!)

Pact Dream Big Pajamas are top-sellers and available in kids’ sizes 18 months to 10. They are made of soft, breathable, 100% organic cotton that is made without toxic chemicals and with 91% less water than conventional cotton. Pact’s cotton material is Fair Trade Certified and GOTS Certified Organic Cotton. Dream Big Pajamas provide a snug fit for safety, with a pull-on waistband and banded cuffs at the wrists and ankles. Chūze Fitness

When you feel so genuinely passionate about something you want to tell the world – And that’s exactly how I feel about Chūze Fitness. After I had Hudson (Over 4 years ago) I was in the best shape of my life.. I had more energy than I knew what to do with, I had a six pack and incredible confidence. But, I got all of that by living in a toxic mindset with food and exercise.

It was a chore. Eating insanely strictly, exercising everyday, and treating myself like a machine that I wouldn’t allow to rest. I’m sure what you would expect to happen, happened. I fell off the health train, HARD. I had one cheat meal and I spiraled. I felt like I was a failure, I felt disgusted with myself and I hated how I “felt”.

So I stopped eating healthy completely. I started drinking more alcohol, stopped working out, stopped everything that I considered “healthy” because I felt like it was a waste since I was “off the wagon”. Then I got pregnant with my twins. After I had them my body felt like it was shutting down. I had no energy, no desire to move, no desire to cook, no desire to do anything that wasn’t absolutely necessary.

I hated myself. And the worst part? I allowed myself to be like that until they were 8 months old – I felt like I was failing them as a Mother. I decided I needed to make a change – Not just for them but also for myself.

As a stay at home Mother of three I was super intimidated by the thought of working out at home like I always had because I knew I’d lose momentum the moment one of them needed something. So I did some searching and found a few gyms that had childcare. It seemed overwhelming but after hearing raving reviews about Chūze Fitness from some local Moms I decided to give it a try..

Their 7 day free trial included everything but tanning so I was able to take all my kiddos into the Kids Club to try it out. The ladies in there were immediately incredible. They were excited to take my twin babies (Something I absolutely feared) and told me to take my time and have a great workout..

After dropping them off I stood outside the Kid’s Club door, completely bewildered that I was kid-free.. I looked around at all of the amazing opportunities in front of me.. I could use their HydroMassage machines, get some cardio in at the Chūze Cinema, join in on a Zumba class, go for a swim, hop in the sauna or get rid of my nasty cold in the Eucalyptus steam room.. The possibilities literally seemed endless.

That was a month ago today. I can now honestly say that Chūze has already changed my life. This is my home away from home. My twins light up when they see the girls, Hudson constantly asks if we can go back to the “play place” and I know I can workout with complete assurance that my kids are in the best hands.

And because of them I’ve been able to gain my strength and energy back. I’ve been going multiple times a week – And sometimes, I literally just sit in the massage chairs, go for a tan then watch a movie while on a stationary bike because whether I am exercising or not it’s my time to focus on ME.

But, most of all, Chūze has changed my life completely because I am now able to be the Mother I need to be for my sweet boys. So thank you Chūze, for the opportunity to better myself and giving me the tools to do so.

Want to try it for yourself? Here is my referral code – I promise.. Your first day there you’ll know you want to sign up.. Did I mention they have a built in smoothie bar? 😉

Traveling Victorian Dress Up Tea Party

The beauty and wonder of tea parties as a young girl is something I still fondly remember.. So when I heard of a TRAVELING tea party that brings the dress up clothes/accessories, fancy tableware and games TO you I knew I HAD to do it for my step-daughters’ 9th birthday party..

We’re now at an age where pretend play is not as much of a desire so as my only girl I knew it was my last chance for a tea party. I called up Traveling Tea Party and the sweetest women, Nancy and Linda, who own it were so sweet and enthusiastic! They were just as excited for the party as I was!

They supplied themed invitations that were adorable and included in the package – She was very excited to write out her own invitations for all her friends!

We started setting up and they were incredibly fast at getting all of the outfits laid out and a station for makeup and accessories. The birthday girl got to have first choice of her outfit and it was a point of pride and excitement.. She looked BEAUTIFUL. They had an impressive collection!

Once all of her friends were dressed and gorgeous they began their parlor games, games that taught poise (While still having a blast!) and class.

Afterwards we began the lunch. The tea was pink lemonade and they supplied pink wafer cookies which were perfect for dipping in the chocolate fountain we brought! I loved the beauty and grace of the event as simple things like the lady of the table ringing a bell when she was ready for tea time, serving the tea to each guest (Gracefully, of course) brought you back to a lovelier, simpler time where such things were expected.

Although her friends and her are getting older they absolutely loved the party and were raving about it for weeks. Nancy and Linda were so so sweet and the cutest things! If I had more girls I’d book them every year but my boys much rather prefer to smash things over tea time. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I highly recommend Traveling Tea Party to any Parent in the Denver area looking for a wonderful idea for their child’s next birthday party. You will not be disappointed and your little princess will feel like the bell of the ball!

Lil Mixins Infant Peanut Powder

Did you know that babies aren’t born with food allergies? They simply develop overtime as their immune system grows, which is why it’s best to introduce certain foods to their diet at an early age to help their bodies learn to tolerate them!

That’s where Lil Mixins comes in! They’ve made a specific 100% organic peanut powder for babies that can be started at age 4 months (They also have egg powder!). As soon as your baby is ready for solids you can slowly begin adding it to their foods, milk, or formula! Unlike other peanut powder, Lil Mixins won’t turn into peanut butter when mixed with foods, making it easier for them to get down and digest!

As a family with gluten-sensitivity I want to help my twin boys’ with a fighting chance at being food allergy free! Only one more month until I can begin this process and I did the same with Hudson – But I didn’t have a formula specifically made for babies! I can’t wait to try it!

You can serve it to them three times a week for regular exposure and continue until they’re a year old – By then they should be old enough to start eating peanut butter and hopefully be peanut allergy free! It’s proven that 100 servings of a food between the ages of 4 months to one year is the best way to teach their bodies to tolerate it. This information is crucial for every parent and with it we can help fight back against food allergies – One baby at a time!

Right now my readers can use promo code MOMSMEET20 to get 20% off your entire Lil Mixins order clicking here or visiting momsmeet.link/lilmixins.

TinkerActive Workbooks

Anyone else SO excited for school to start again?! Not that I don’t love my kids being home.. But it’s so nice having a set schedule again.. Hudson is in swimming and soccer and is starting preschool in September and Marret starts school this Wednesday and has dance every Wednesday night..

It’s just nice knowing what to expect.. And one thing I knew was coming was my kids’ brain being stuck on Summer mode – As much as I love it I needed to kick start their minds before school started to give them an edge. The Moms Meet website had a ton of recommendations for the odddot TinkerActive Workbooks so I gave them a try and the kids LOVED them (I do too, secretly 😉 ) There are Math and Science books from grades Kindergarten to 2nd and they’re not like any of the the ones we’ve tried before.

The workbooks are hands-on and very visual. They aren’t just boring equations on a sheet – The exercises flex our children’s’ brains with projects that allow them to tinker, create and engineer at home! It is very STEM based which I am all. about. Plus, they’re FUN and we all know if our kids enjoy something it won’t be considered work to them 😉

Looking for something extra for your kids to do to help develop their fundamental skills before school begins (Or even as a supplement during school!) then y’all MUST check out TinkerActive Workbooks – You won’t be disappointed and neither will their brains 😉

They can be purchased wherever books are sold – And if you decide to purchase on Amazon, please leave a product review directly on Amazon – That’s how us parents figure out what actually works! ❥

Zafooz

Being the Mom of three boys now it’s necessary for me to take time for myself to breathe and recenter. But I’ve never stopped to think of how my older children may be needing the same thing. With the new household dynamic with the twins here it can be stressful on my three year old to share attention and constantly hear crying.. So I realized I needed to get something for my sweet boy that’ll allow him to also have some meditation time for himself.

That’s when I found Zafooz. It’s a spirit animal cushion that helps children focus on mindfulness and meditation.. I feel it’s as important for them to have time to slow down and just be within themselves as it is for us.

20190620_163222.jpg

Since the twins were born Hudson has had his Lotus Ladybug with him everywhere throughout the house. He takes it outside when the sun is getting low and back up to bed with him when it’s time to unwind.. There are a few different stuffed animal friends to choose from and each one has their own description and children’s emotional/spiritual needs. It’s fantastic!

Ladybug_web.jpg

Along with the cushion, Zafooz has guided meditations on the their website to help your children ease into their relaxation mode. It’s been such a wonderful, peaceful friend for Hudson and I’m very thankful we found it! Because again, I feel it’s just as important for them to have self time and these cushion allow them a comfortable, safe space to do so.

Right now, you can save 15% on your zafooz.com/shop purchase by using the promo code breatheBhappy. Valid until July 22, 2019.

Mama Guilt When Pregnant

I realized the main three niches of my blog are food, lifestyle and family and I haven’t touched on family in awhile. So I wanted to talk about something that a lot of parents may be feeling – I know I certainly was.

Parent Guilt for adding an additional sibling into the family (Especially when you’ve got an only child). When I first found out I was pregnant I was elated.. So excited to be bringing another wonderful soul into this world who would hopefully carry my values, my love for God and my humor 😉 But then I began to feel a deep pain for my Hudson. He’s got other siblings on his Dad’s side but they’re part time and he’s got his Mommy 100% of the time. It’s been Mommy and Hudson for 3 whole years and it’s been amazing..

55627764_2030645620366369_5995446222599487488_o

But now it won’t be.. And in our situation it’ll be TWICE the sharing now that we found out we’re having twins. I spent many a nights crying myself to sleep.. It hurts to say but I was no longer excited for my babies anymore, because I felt like I was completely betraying my little boy.

pexels-photo-64263.jpeg

But after speaking with other parents who had multiple children it always came down to the same answer.. Your heart finds a way. All of the anxiety and pain goes away as soon as you meet your babies and you realize you have way more room in your heart than you thought was humanly possible and when your little sees their new lifelong best friend(s) they don’t see it as a competition for your love (Well maybe a little, but not to the extreme you imagined 😉 ) but instead they see an exciting new chapter with new loved ones.

That has completely eased my mind. Hudson is so in love with my belly and talks about his little brothers often as if he can’t wait to meet them.. And because of the advice and my son’s adoration it’s completely cured my Mommy Guilt. So don’t worry Mommy, or Daddy.. It’ll be okay, you’re capable of tremendous amounts of love and the only thing you can do is continue to tell your little how much you love them and always will.

pexels-photo-89695

I’m supposed to be on light bed rest but instead I’ve been taking Hudson out and spending as much time with him as I can so he knows that even though Mommy is exhausted with these babies that he’s still important to me and always will be.

Parenting is the most rewarding and scary job in the world – But I wouldn’t trade it in for the world. So let go of your guilt.. You’re killing it!
