Ever since I can remember I have suffered from extreme skin sensitivity. Literally everything irritates my skin so I have to be very choosey on what I wear and the products I use.
Unfortunately I have passed this on to my son – And the biggest thing I’ve noticed is his irritation to normal diapers (Huggies, Pampers, etc.) So I went looking for a product that was more gentle and natural, but disposable, for my son.
That’s when I came across Poof! Their diapers are completely biodegradable, fragrance and latex free (Which is very important because I am allergic to latex so I’m sure he’ll have some sensitivity to it as well). It is antibacterial, has a wide leg cuff to prevent leaks of all kinds and is SPECIFICALLY formulated for sensitive skin. They have so many other amazing features but these are the ones that meant the most to me.
Did I mention they also happen to be SUPER cute? 😉
Ever since we’ve made the switch Hudson has had less rashes and irritation. Try them out for yourself! We’re so happy we made the switch, Mama Approved 😉

As y’all may have seen in my posts, Hudson is a model for a very cute Etsy business called Magical Baby Clouds! It was made by an amazingly talented Mama named Margot! This was our first Brand Enthusiast experience and so far our only, he hasn’t modeled for any other business yet because we love her so much and she makes some wonderful and useful things for our little man! Also gives us an excuse to take adorable photos of our little man without looking like crazy, obsessed parents 😉
She’s willing to make custom orders depending on your taste (We love the woodsy and boyish look so it’s SO nice to tell her what we like and have her send us photos of the different fabrics we like!)
All of the stuff is completely handmade and unique – Which is so much nicer than going out and buying an expensive piece that wont be made just for your sweet little one.
And it’s not just clothing! It’s also adorable teethers and toys that are SO needed for when their painful little teeth come in!
So if you’re in the market for some new bloomers/shorts (New to her shop!), bibdanas, scarves, top knots, head bands, teethers or ANYTHING of the sort. Check her out! She’s been so good to us and I know you’ll LOVE her stuff!
Use the code “MBC15” for 15% off your first purchase!
Head over to her shop now! Hudson’s on the first page 😉
Update: Since posting this review, Bluum’s amazing customer service has reached out and we will be working with them until April to see if this continues to be a good fit for us and if so, will continue to use them for our baby box! I will post another review in two months to update the situation. I am impressed by their willingness to reach out and rectify an issue. It is a company I’ve loved getting boxes from every month for me and my son. (1/31/2017)
Conclusion: Bluum box has been sending me boxes since this post and it’s been WONDERFUL. The quantities are correct, the products are fantastic and customer service has been stellar! Really appreciate all of the hard work they put in to remedy this issue and I am so thankful to be moving forward with them as Hudson gets SO excited to see their box come in the mail every month!
Has anyone tried these yet? They’re amazing boxes that are sent right to your home so you and your kiddos have new goodies to look forward to every month. They contain toys, clothes, stuffies, eating utensils, etc. etc. My mother had been sending us Bluum boxes for awhile now (To help her avoid going out and buying Hudson stuff ALL THE TIME.. Good Grandma..✿)
We really enjoyed the items we had received for Hudson and it was really nice they had items for Mama too! Each box was personalized for Hudson’s age with a little saying for every month.
And although we love everything we have gotten from them – They definitely had some downfalls. It was late 70% of the time, we didn’t receive all the specific items we picked almost every time, and sometimes we got LESS items than promised.
So we have now decided to end our subscription with Bluum and are on the hunt for a new kind of box, because we do LOVE the convenience and excitement that Hudson gets every time he sees his box of goodies come in!
If you have any suggestions please let me know as we’d love to try something new!
Today Hudson and I got to experience a wonderful organization put on an exciting event. We all know Sesame Street, (Especially because they’re celebrating their 47th season!) but don’t always hear about the amazing programs they have. They have an amazing non-profit called Sesame Workshop that aims to help children understand the importance of education, reading, being kind and much more – It is their mission.
I already loved Sesame Street because it brings me back to my childhood, but this made me fall even more in love with them – I know I had to bring Hudson to an event that was so positive, and it did not disappoint.
Of course we had to start with a Meet and Greet with Elmo and Abby Cadabby first! Hudson was a little shy but definitely liked Elmo! (We even got a Elmo stuffie!)
We were one of the first people there so we had free reign of their activities area. There were books, puzzle pieces, free refreshments and iPads set up for kids to learn and play on! Hudson and I love to read so of course he went STRAIGHT to the library! So we plopped down on a comfortable Sesame Street bean chair and read We’re Different, We’re the Same. It was a wonderful bonding experience and I really liked how excited he was to pick up any book off the shelf that he wanted! That absolutely promotes a love for reading.
Afterward we played with some puzzles and did some exploring! He was excited there were so many other kids around and really enjoyed watching Elmo on stage 😉 .
What I really appreciated about this organization is the fact that although they are a classic they’ve adapted to our growing technological world and added their tablets for children to “play” on but they had educational apps and books to show learning can still be fun. They truly care for our children and I adore that. It’s nice to know that in spite of a rapidly changing world there is at least one constant that has carried and will carry from generation to generation.
Their show ended with a delightful live show and a wonderful reading. The kids had fun, the parents enjoyed themselves and it was an event that leaves you feeling accomplished after attending.
So keep in mind – K is for Kindness! And Sesame Street is amazing and 47 years later still do incredible things for our children and their futures!
For some extra Sesame Street fun for your kiddos, you can download some cute coloring pages, a fun book log and some tips for instilling kindness here 🙂

As y’all know, we are looking for a baby gym for Hudson as I believe it would be beneficial for the socialization and skills they work on because they are constructive for his development. Today we tried Great Play and it was absolutely amazing (Besides some grumpiness from Hudson due to some teething)
My first impression was amazing. It’s in a wonderful neighborhood and the facility was very large! The facility was clean and not too bright – Which I really liked because it was less stimulation. When we walked in we were so pleasantly greeted by the owner Sanjana. After some chit-chat it was our time on the play floor and Hudson was SO excited!
The first 10 minutes were free play so he could get used to his environment and the activities and he had a BALL.. Literally, all he wanted to do was throw balls! 🙂

Free play ended and the class (Which was only 5 other kiddos, made for a very personal experience for Hudson, which I loved) sat around in a circle and we made introductions. All of the kids were the same age which was WONDERFUL and different from our past gym experience where ages were scattered and didn’t seem focused on a specific skill-set for a specific age.
We were introduced to the three amazing Coaches Orlando, Lexi and Kayla. They were all so very friendly and passionate, you could tell they loved what they did and cared for the children. We did their Welcome Song, started with some baby stretches and began some skill activities! Hudson wasn’t a fan, again with the teething pain, but they had some very interactive stations for them to work at. One was throwing, where you can practice your targeting by throwing a sticky ball at a velcro mat.. An amazing idea but Hudson just wanted to play with the balls.. Haha!
I really like how often they changed the activities as it gives the children a variety of new things to learn in such a short amount of time and challenges them to continuously change their attention and work on their problem solving skills.
Hudson got very Mommy needy after trying a few new things (Which is why I find these gyms so useful as they challenge him to socialize and learn without Mommy) so we went solo for a few minutes and played in a tunnel which was great. I told him how proud I was of him because he was so apprehensive of the closed space at first but braved it to get his ball!
They really involve their mascot “Buddy” in their activities as they change the projections on the walls and come up with stories on what we’re doing next with what Buddy is doing! My favorite was Caveman Buddy! They had activities that involved climbing and being physical, like a caveman! Hudson actually LOVED it! He did EVERY single activity and had a blast!
We scaled a bridge..Climbed a mountain..And ascended a ladder!!
I was so proud.. He was being so brave, was learning and having fun all at the same time!
Hudson’s favorite part of this class was the stacking and building blocks. He is in such a huge stacking phase that he had a blast building his own towers and knocking over the coaches creations. And they were so fun about it! (Which is why I love that these classes are so age specific because tons of the other toddlers were enjoying the blocks as well)

We ended the class with Underwater Buddy.. Where an “ocean like” station was made with a bubble machine and tons of buckets and colorful scarves. Hudson was apprehensive because of the close quarters (Which they said they were specifically doing to help children become more comfortable with them) but quickly got comfortable when he realized other kids were enjoying it and saw the bubbles.
The staff was incredible. The facility was BEAUTIFUL. And Hudson really seemed to be getting comfortable because they were all so engaging and genuinely caring. I only have one more gym to try but I’ll tell you what, I don’t know how you can top this place. It was truly a unique experience and seemed like it was really worth what you pay for when you have so many skill building activities. It was more structured and that’s how I believe it should be. You can take your kid to a park for free and have socialization – But they wont get the same kind of focus on developmental skills that will give them an edge down the road.
It’s been pretty cold in Colorado – So my best friend and I decided to take Hudson to his first Stock Show! My Dad used to ride in the rodeo when he was younger and Hudson seems to have his spirit! Kept grabbing the lassos and spurs 😉
We dressed him up in his wrangler onesie and threw him in some jeans and BAM he looked like a genuine cowboy 😉 Got a LOT of compliments from the ladies and even got to talk to a few cowboys!
We played with tractors, in trailers and ran all around. He had a ball seeing the animals and made sure to talk to every shop owner! Highly recommend the Stock Show to anyone with little ones – It’s warm, fun and there are lots of stuff for them to do! Unfortunately, I only got two photos, good thing they’re super cute 😉
Hey y’all! Sorry it’s been awhile since I posted – Been pretty under the weather. But happy to be feeling 100% again! Was feeling so good today wanted to be active with my Hudson. So I scheduled a free class at My Gym to try it out – I was SO happy with it! Hudson got some socialization time, got to meet kids his age and got to play on all of their amazing equipment that was beneficial for learning!
We heard about this place on his favorite TV channel BabyFirstTV and was also approached by a man in a grocery store one time saying he used to own a My Gym in California and thinks Hudson would love one! That definitely sparked my interest and so happy we went!!
We played and played.. And learned to share play with others too..
There were skill building activities as well, such as beam walking and pull-ups (Weren’t his favorites..)
He learned to take some time away from Mommy (Still not 100% with that one.. Which I don’t mind 😉 ) Hahaha!
Lastly he learned to help clean up, which made me realize this was a great thing to start using at home as he actually enjoyed helping clean up! Seemed more like playing to him 😉
This was a really amazing experience. And they’re currently having a $17 Lifetime membership fee (Usually $60) as well as $17 off your first month’s classes (Which is normally $75 per 4 week billing) at their Arvada, CO location. Considering whether we’ll be taking advantage of this great deal as we had such an amazing time, the staff was great and it was amazing socialization time for Hudson.
Do you do anything similar to this for your children?
